Parents, caregivers and their children, from birth to five years old, are invited to join us for "Raising a Reader", a special seven-week literacy program at the Care1st Avondale Resource Center. Learn how to build early literacy skills in young children that will help them enter school ready to learn. These workshops are designed to engage parents and caregivers in a routine of book sharing with their young children to foster healthy brain, healthy relationships, a love of reading, and the literacy skills critical for school success.
