Avondale Observes Labor Day

Introduction: In observance of Labor Day, City of Avondale offices will be closed on Monday, September 4, 2023. Avondale city administrative offices, libraries, court, community, and resource centers will reopen on Tuesday, September 5 for regular business.

Avondale Observes Labor Day Holiday

Avondale city facilities will be closed in observance of the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 2, 2024.

Affected facilities include City Hall, City Court, Avondale Public Libraries, Visitor and Conference Center, and the Mountain View Community Center, along with administrative offices at Public Works and Public Safety. However, Avondale park amenities will be open for use, and the new Avondale Aquatic Center will be open from 12:30 p.m.- 5 p.m. for enjoyment (www.avondaleaz.gov/pool ). The Resource Center will be open for Heat Relief on Monday, September 2, 2024 from 10am to 4pm.

Essential services, such as police and fire services, will not be impacted. While city facilities will be closed, there will be NO CHANGES to trash/solid waste or bulk pick-up schedules.

Valley Metro bus will be operating on a Sunday schedule. There will be no RAPID/Express bus service or WeRIDE microtransit operating on this day.
