‘Uniquely Avondale’ -- State Of The City Event scheduled for March 22

The City of Avondale will host its State of the City Event on Thursday March 22, as part of a business mixer focusing on economic development and business partnerships. The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at Avondale City Hall, and the public is warmly invited to attend.

In his keynote State of the City Address, Avondale Mayor Kenneth Weise will highlight many of last year’s accomplishments, including the city’s development and redevelopment successes. The city will also highlight companies whose contributions and stories embody Avondale as Aspiring, Achieving, and Accelerating.

Following the Mayor’s address, there will be opportunities to network, and sample refreshments provided by “uniquely Avondale”  businesses.

Dan Davis, Avondale’s economic development director, said: “The State of the City event brings our business and development community together to share their success stories and to see what sets apart.   Through their collective success, Avondale continues to grow and prosper, and as a city, we are proud to support them.
