New Traffic Signal: Avondale Blvd & Lower Buckeye Rd

This project will install a traffic signal and corner ramps at the intersection of Avondale Boulevard and Lower Buckeye Road improving traffic flow on both streets and access to Phoenix Raceway and South Avondale. The traffic signal will be placed in its final location to account for the future addition of traffic lanes along both Avondale Boulevard and Lower Buckeye Road.

 Avondale Blvd Street Widening

This project will complete the widening along the west side of Avondale Boulevard from McDowell Road to Encanto Boulevard. When completed, this portion of Avondale Boulevard will have 2 northbound lanes and 2 southbound lanes and a center turn lane to provide better traffic flow in this busy area of the city.
