How can I schedule a station tour?

Avondale Fire & Medical is happy to schedule station tours. Station tours are available Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and must be scheduled in advance.

Tour Guidelines:

Tours must be scheduled 2 weeks in advance.

Tours are conducted Monday through Thursday 9 AM to 5 PM.

Tours last approximately 45-60 minutes.

Children must be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times during the tour.

All visitors must wear appropriate clothing and covered footwear.

All stations are working stations and crews are on-duty, available for response during tours.

Visitors are encouraged to take photos and video. Photos and video may also be taken by on-duty personnel and shared on Fire Department social media platforms. Please inform the Community Outreach Coordinator prior to the tour if you do not give permission for photos or video. Please fill out the link below.

How do I get a child car seat installed or checked to see if mine is installed properly?

Child Restraint Installation & Inspection

Arizona law requires that any child under the age of 8 and under 4'9" tall must be in a child restraint when in a vehicle. A certified Child Passenger Safety Technician will be happy to inspect and help install your child safety seat at no cost to you. Car seat inspections are done by appointment at Avondale Fire Station 175, 12495 W Van Buren St, Avondale, AZ 85323.

Avondale Fire & Medical participates in an Automatic Aide agreement with 26 other fire departments and districts through the Phoenix Fire Department Regional Dispatch Center. Through this agreement, fire, medical, and rescue resources are shared as if it was one giant fire department without city borders. This ensures that the closest fire unit to an emergency responds, regardless of what it says on the side of the truck.
