This academy offers a hands-on, interactive, highly informative five-part series all things water and wastewater. Engage with the City’s water professionals who plan, build, protect and deliver services for Avondale’s vast water and wastewater infrastructure. Registration typically opens in February each year.
This academy offers a comprehensive perspective of Avondale city government, with interactive and informative workshops on topics ranging from how the city runs to future development. Participants will have the opportunity to tour various city parks and facilities, get a close-up view of public safety vehicles and apparatus, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at all city departments. This academy provides an inside look at our Police Department and law enforcement operations. The CPA is designed to provide participants with an overview of the operations and resources of the Avondale Police Department, which help provide a greater awareness and understanding of law enforcement’s role in our community. Registration typically opens in the summer each year.
This academy is a program designed for citizens of Avondale, surrounding communities, and members of the business community to provide an inside look at the Avondale Fire and Medical Department. This is an 8-class program hosted by Fire & Medical Department administration where participants will earn certificates in CPR and Stop-The-Bleed. Registration typically opens in the winter each year.
